Troy
I am the father of 2 boys ages 4 and 6, 3 dogs, and assorted other small creatures. All are spoiled! As a lover of anything to do with water, I started diving a little over 2 years ago while living on Lake Erie. I trained in a quarry and Lake Erie (not much different, cold and Low Vis!), and my first OW dive after training was a clean up at Put in Bay with absolute ZERO vis!!

I will dive anywhere, anytime I can. As of yet, I have no drysuit, and have been known to dive a quarry in October or Novemeber when the water temp (low 40's) was warmer than the air temp (high 30's). When the opportunity arrives to dive in warm waters, I dive in a skin and MAYBE a hood, depending on water temp and jellyfish population.

As a tekkie in training, quarries provide a fair training ground for the diving I want to do. Wrecks are my love. Therefore, a drysuit is in my near future, as soon as expense will allow. The backplate has been great for getting rid of some lead, and steel tanks are next.
