Calibration can be made either in air or pure oxygen and the OxySpy will automatically detect which gas is being used for that calibration. The O2 sensor measures the partial pressure of the oxygen and the OxySpy calculates the O2 percentage from it. Changes in ambient pressure or temperature will influence the measurement values and OxySpy will indicate when re calibration is necessary. Taking the gas sample for analysis has never been easier. The user will press one of the pliable rings against the cylinder valve and then will open the valve until you hear a gentle hiss. The gas will pass into the large couvet where it will make non-pressurized contact with the oxygen sensor. Once the sample has stabilized the user can "freeze" the display and enter the value on a contents label. The average user will learn how to use the Abyss OxySpy in under five minutes. Actual sampling and documenting the sample on a contents label takes all of one minute. It's that simple.Unlike other analysis units the OxySpy was designed and manufactured specifically for the enriched air and technical diver. No wires, no hoses, no adaptors, just simplicity at its best.
